Two in a Row

Today was another productive day. At work, I made tangible progress on a project that has been keeping me busy for months. After work, I was a good boy and went straight to the books, doing my reading for class tomorrow. The joys of being a grad student.

It's interesting. I feel so good at the end of a productive day, but during the day, I'd much rather be laying on the couch watching Simpsons reruns. Isn't that just the thing about self-discipline though? It requires keeping a longer-term perspective--even if the longer term is just falling asleep at night knowing that you've put in a good day's work. Two more days of work, then I'm off to Kansas City for some rest and relaxation. I'm especially looking forward to seeing Don Chaffer of [weblink:http://www.waterdeep.com/] play a solo show in Lawrence, KS on Friday night. I'll let you know how it goes.
