.Mac Upgrade

Earlier this week, I ordered a .Mac retail box from the Apple website (since I was ordering Tiger anyway, I couldn't resist adding it to my cart). However, Apple kept delaying shipment on it, until I finally got this e-mail this morning:

To Our Valued Apple Customer:

Thank you for your recent order.

Apple is excited to announce a new version of .Mac Retail kit. We have upgraded your order to the new version that has been updated for compatibility with Tiger.

Please note that our new version of .Mac will no longer ship with the Virex software. Virex software is not compatible with the Tiger (Mac OS X 10.4) operating system. If you have not yet converted to Tiger, you may still download the Virex software from our .Mac web site at http://www.mac.com.

Very interesting that Virex is no longer around... Any thoughts on why?
