Busy Month

Eric Eating an OysterMay has been a busy month. You never would have guessed, considering how I have managed to keep this site so well maintained, er... Anyway, some of the highlights of the past weeks include:
  • I got Tiger! It's g r r r eat!
  • Trip to Baltimore and Philly with Mandy for Jeremy Riggall and Mary Gregson's wedding. Had a really great time hanging out with Kyle in Baltimore and then all the fellows at the bachelor party in Philly, then spending some quality time with Abi and Jesse over cheesesteaks. Finally, back in Baltimore, I got a chance to meet Mandy's good friend, Lana, who was really cool. While at the Inner Harbor, I got to eat a wonderful oyster!
  • Next, Mandy and I headed to Kansas City for Anna's Graduation. We had a good time meeting Lisa's boyfriend, Juan, and all the siblings and significant others pooled resources to get Anna a pink 4GB iPod Mini. Joel, Mandy, and I saw the latest Star Wars installment, which we all enjoyed.
  • Another highlight of the trip was meeting my new cousin, Charlie for the first time -- what a beautiful boy. Jeff and Kim are such happy parents.
  • Also, got a chance to see Joel's Kansas City Kids tour group perform at Theatre in the Park. Joel was a really amazing tap dancer, and I'll post the video to prove it soon.
  • The final occurrence of the past few weeks was the reason for my busy-ness. I turned in the final draft of my Qualifying Exam proposal. If it gets approved, then on Friday I start 8 weeks of writing the exam. However, I'll try to do better at keeping things around here up to date.

I have no use for cranks who despise music, because it is a gift of God. Next, after theology, I give to music the highest place and the greatest honor.
