Exactly 83 Pounds of Books

Pretty much all my free time this week has gone to gathering resources for my Qualifying Exam. Yesterday, I went to three libraries gathering an additional 46.4 pounds of books, which when added to my previous 36.6 pounds of books, brings the grand total to exactly 83 pounds gathered thus far. This is exclusive of a dissertation and 49 articles and 5 books that I have downloaded digitally, bringing my total sources to over 120. This week I will focus on reading, as I obviously have a lot of that to do.

Last night, James was in town from Chicago with his girlfriend, Jana. We had a good time barbecuing at the Holleman's, and it was great to finally meet Jana. Afterwards, James, Brad, and I went to Goodnight Gracie's and heard some great funk. It was a nice break from my hours in front of the computer. Now, I'm off to a late dinner with Mandy!
